About Emmy’s Bakehouse.
Emmy’s Bakehouse started with something simple: I wanted to bake.
At first, baking was just a hobby something new to try, something peaceful, and something I could genuinely enjoy. I never imagined that something as simple as learning how to bake would eventually become something so meaningful to me. But there was one little reason that made me want to start with cookies: my son. He has always had a love for cookies, especially those fun, colorful birthday-cake and Funfetti-style cookies. One day, instead of buying him cookies somewhere else, I thought, “Why not learn how to make them myself?”
And that’s where the journey really began.
I started learning, testing, tweaking, and baking cookies over and over again. Some batches were better than others. Some needed a little more of this or a little less of that. But with every batch, I learned something new. And then came the moments that made it all worth it. I’d let my son taste a new version, and he’d light up. Sometimes he’d say something as simple as, “Mommy, this is better than before!” Those little reactions became some of my favorite parts of baking. They reminded me that food can be more than just food. It can create excitement. It can bring comfort. It can make someone smile. It can become a little moment of joy. That’s what I wanted to share with other people.
From My Kitchen to Yours
Emmy’s Bakehouse is my way of taking those same feelings I experienced baking for my family and sharing them with others. Everything is made in small batches because that’s what works best for me and, more importantly, because I believe in taking the time to get the details right. Small batches allow me to focus on freshness, quality, texture, and flavor instead of simply trying to make as much as possible. Every cookie and treat is made with intention and, of course, a whole lot of love. Whether you’re treating yourself, celebrating someone you love, sharing with your family, or simply craving something sweet, I want every bite to feel special. The name Emmy’s Bakehouse comes from my son, Emerson, who I lovingly call Emmy. What started with me wanting to learn how to bake cookies for him grew into a passion that I now get to share with you.
And that’s why our motto is:
Small Batch, Big Joy.
Because sometimes you don’t need a whole lot to make someone happy. Sometimes it’s one freshly baked cookie. One new flavor.One bite that makes you smile. One little moment that reminds you that something was made just for you. That’s the kind of joy I hope to create with every treat that leaves my kitchen.
